Intro to Italian Architecture

Italy is truly blessed to have one of the world’s greatest collections of classic architecture.

Not only that, but much of the architecture built during antiquity, predominantly in the period stretching from 200 BC to 500 AD, at the height of the Roman Empire, still remains much of its original character and is miraculously well-preserved.

In this video, which is an Introduction to Italian Architecture lecture presented by Yale University, you’ll get an overview of the main principles of the classical Italian style and how it influenced many modern constructions.
